Help Karuna Stand Up!

Standing is so hard for Karuna, and so we must stand up for her.

While most two-year-olds sit around and play all day, Karuna does five hours a day of therapy. Every day. Even with all her hard work, Karuna still cannot sit, stand, walk, or talk. She still gets 75% of her nutrition through a feeding tube. Many days she can barely hold her head up. Karuna has cerebral palsy from a brain injury at birth caused by a ruptured umbilical cord.

Please stand up for Karuna and other children like her. Standing for Karuna requires every bit of her effort, even with a stander or braces from head to toe. Those of us who can stand up, either literally or figuratively, must stand up for her. Karuna's primary hope for learning to stand is stem cell research. Please stand up for Karuna by voting to support stem cell research, especially easing the current restrictions on research in the United States.

Help us inform Congress about the need for stem cell research by adding your own "Reality Snapshot" to our site
